COVID-19 in SA: Sandton and its surroundings most affected in JHB

JOHANNESBURG – The Gauteng Health Department says more than 300 people in communities around Sandton, Alexandra and Houghton contracted COVID-19 on Christmas Day alone.

The department revealed that the sub-district, known as Region E, is currently the hardest hit in Johannesburg.

Gauteng health spokesperson Kwara Kekana said residents should make use of the weekly dashboard that guides them in terms of areas to avoid.
