PRETORIA – Former Minister Malusi Gigaba’s wife, Norma Mngoma, was warned by the Pretoria Magistrates Court after she allegedly contacted a state witness.

Mngoma, who has decided to be addressed by her maiden name, was in court for her criminal injury and malicious property damage case.

This is after she caused extensive damage to a Mercedes Benz G63 driven by her husband but owned by his friend.

His matter has been postponed for further investigation.

Mngoma has two cases ongoing simultaneously in two separate courts in Pretoria.

She has been charged with the crime of injury and willful damage to property for allegedly causing damage to a car in her husband’s possession.

But he also took the state to court to challenge the validity of that same arrest.

On Friday his criminal case was processed in a court where the state revealed how Mngoma had contacted a witness.

But his lawyer Victor Nkwashu has denied it: “My client contacted a certain witness, but this witness did not testify before an affidavit, so we do not know who this person is who was contacted by my client. So my client doesn’t know anything about that accusation. “

Mngoma was advised that if a witness was contacted, his bail of 5,000 rand would be revoked.

Although the sentence in his case before the Superior Court remains reserved, Mngoma’s case for willful damage to property and crime of injury was postponed until February 12 of next year.
