The accomplished tactician praised Masandawana as the best team in the league after losing to triple winners.

Kaizer Chiefs head coach Gavin Hunt has his sights set on his next game against Chippa United, to be played on Tuesday.

Amakhosi is injured after being thrashed 3-0 by Mamelodi Sundowns at FNB Stadium in his first match of the 2020/21 PSL season on Saturday afternoon.

It was Hunt’s first loss as Amakhosi’s coach after starting his tenure at the Naturena giants with a 2-1 win over Maritzburg United in the MTN8 quarterfinal match last weekend.

Hunt is confident his team will improve as the season progresses with the four-time PSL champions traveling to Port Elizabeth, where they will face the Chilli Boys.

“We made crucial mistakes against a quality team. They were a stronger opposition, “Hunt told the club’s official website on Sunday.

“Obviously, with more game intelligence, we will improve. They are not the results we were looking for, but now we have to focus on the next opposition. “

The Chilli Boys began their league campaign with a 1-1 draw against Cape Town in a match played in Mother City on Saturday.

Hunt is looking forward to a different challenge against Chippa after losing to the best team in the league, Sundowns, who are the reigning PSL champions.

“I saw Chippa, at his game on Saturday night. Chippa is a totally different side compared to Sundowns. It will be a different challenge, “he added.

“For me, there is no first game. I read a lot from any game. We have a lot of work to do in the future. But don’t forget that we play against the best team in the league at Sundowns.”

Peter Shalulile, Kermit Erasmus and Themba Zwane all scored for Sundowns as they embarrassed the Chiefs, who are now licking their wounds.

Amakhosi will look to continue his dominance against Chippa, having secured back-to-back victories over the Eastern Cape-based team in the league last season.

They secured a 2-0 victory over the Chilli Boys in the first round match in Port Elizabeth, before emerging as 1-0 winners in the second round match in Johannesburg.

The Chilli Boys will host the Chiefs at the 2010 FIFA World Cup quarter-final venue, the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium.
