Johannesburg – Chief Justice Mogoeng Mogoeng will not back down from his controversial comments on the vaccine he made Thursday while delivering a prayer in Thembisa.

It is not the first time that Mogoeng’s faith has provoked public anger.

In August, Mogoeng criticized South Africa’s foreign policy on the Israel-Palestine issue, using Bible verses to defend Israel and express his love during a Jerusalem Post webinar.

This week, Mogoeng criticized a ‘diabolical’ vaccine and corrupting DNA, voicing his comments during a prayer at a Gauteng government event held at Thembisa Hospital in Ekurhuleni.

Mogoeng had said during the prayer: “I block all Covid-19 demons, I block any vaccine that is not from You (God).

“If there is any vaccine that is from the devil, destined to infuse 666 in people’s lives, destined to corrupt their DNA… any vaccine of that type, that is destroyed by fire.

“Any law of legalizing agent, for the evil in this nation, for the evil in Africa and in all the nations of the world.

“No more suffering Lord, revive the economy of this country, because we know that You have told us that there are many hidden minerals that will emerge only when righteousness arises,” he said.

On Friday, Mogoeng presented the South African Judiciary Annual Report for 2019/20 and insisted that he will not apologize for his prayer.

He also said that those who do not want to be vaccinated should not be forced to do so.

“I don’t know anything about vaccines. I saw something that says it must be mandatory and you will need a vaccination certificate to travel. It must be voluntary.

“You cannot give people a vaccine. Why should I get the vaccine if I’m not positive, “he said.

When informed that the Africa for Palestine movement, which had filed a complaint against him for his comments on Israel in August, would file a complaint against him for his latest statements, Mogoeng said he would not be silenced and invited them to ‘present as many complain as you like. ‘

“I am crying out to God, whether you call it politics or not, it is neither here nor there, and I will not stop doing it.

“I cry to God (that) if there is any vaccine with 666, I want God to destroy it, if there is any vaccine intended to corrupt people’s DNA, I ask God to interrupt it, any clean vaccine, they must produce it quickly ”He said Friday, adding that it was for the scientists to spread the vaccine and not him.

Mogoeng said that he had a democratic right to freedom of thought and expression and that he would not be silenced because South Africa is a free country.
