PARIS – Springbok winger Cheslin Kolbe was once again the talk of the town after cameras focused on him picking up trash after Toulouse’s European Cup win over Munster on Saturday.
Widely regarded as the best player in the world today, it’s generally Kolbe’s footsteps and elusive run that get the fans talking.
But on Saturday, it was his responsibility to get fans to speak after he walked through Munster’s Thomond Park with a bag picking up trash after the game.
“Cheslin Kolbe, arguably the best player in the world right now, cleaning trash around the field at Thomond Park after full time … This is what it’s all about,” BT Sport’s rugby Twitter account said on the website social media.

During the game, Ireland wing Keith Earls gave Munster the perfect start, going through two superbly taken attempts in the space of three minutes, midway through the first half.
Three penalties from Romain Ntamack meant Toulouse trailing just 16-9 at halftime and leveled out shortly after the restart as Ntamack overcame the defense for wing Mathis Lebel to jump, catch, dive and finish it all in one fluid motion.
After that, the momentum shifted from side to side.
“It was a bit like a ping-pong match for the rest of the second half,” said Jerome Kaino, the Toulouse number 8.
Munster wing Damian Coombes and Toulouse hooker Julian Marchand went ahead to keep the two giants head to head at 23-23.
JJ Hanrahan elbowed Munster with a penalty with 13 minutes remaining, but Toulouse responded in style when Lebel left Hanrahan holding on to the air before feeding scum half Antoine Dupont, who went through for the try.
Ntamack added the conversion to make it 30-26 and added a penalty when James Cronin was penalized in a ruck.
With two minutes remaining, France scrum-half Dupont secured Toulouse’s place in the last eight with his second try of the game.
Munster had the last word when Coombes also made his double, but Toulouse kept going.
