Cape Town’s Belinda Davids receives another standing ovation for Britain’s Got Talent: ‘Totally fascinating’ says Amanda

Belinda Davids from South Africa received another standing ovation from Brittany Has Talent judges with an interpretation of Whitney Houston I have nothing on Saturday.

This week’s semifinalists performed in front of the returning panel of judges David Walliams, Ashley Banjo, Alesha Dixon and Amanda Holden, as well as a virtual audience watching from home.

Belinda, 43, who has traveled the world as a Whitney Houston tribute artist, first wowed the judges during the round of theater auditions with a lid of One moment in time.

“I’m so impressed. That hit me, to the bottom of my soul. It was passionate, moving, pure and incredible,” Ashley said. David added: “It was absolutely electrifying from start to finish.”

Amanda called the performance “absolutely fascinating and so strong.”

Two contestants from each semifinal round, one chosen by the judges and one chosen by the spectators, will advance to the final next month.

The winner of the competition will walk away with £ 250,000 (R5 510 403) and will be placed in the Royal Variety Performance lineup. At last year’s performance, Prince William and Kate were seated in the audience.
