However, police said they have since linked them to a number of other cases, including fraud and theft.
On Wednesday, members of the Flying Squad spotted a silver Citroën on Voortrekker Road in Bellville around 2:30 p.m. The vehicle was allegedly linked to a motorcycle theft on Tuesday, March 9, at a Brackenfell hospital.

Officers followed up on information that the stolen motorcycle could be at an address in Protea Heights.
“Upon arriving at the address at approximately 3:30 p.m., they found the motorcycle on the premises and arrested a 40-year-old woman for possession of stolen property. Then, the members noticed a white Nissan Tida in front of the premises and recalled that this El vehicle was … wanted in a fraud and theft case in Franschhoek, “Van Wyk said.
The woman said the vehicle belonged to her and upon searching it, police found a wig, knives, surgical gloves, keys, remote controls and other implements used to enter the properties.
“One of the keys had a key ring belonging to a guesthouse in Franschhoek. It is alleged that the suspects booked into the guesthouse earlier this month. They paid a large deposit through EFT. They tried to steal the goods in their rooms. but they were molested by security personnel and fled. The deposit transaction was also reversed by the suspects, “Van Wyk said.

“The couple is currently in custody for theft of a motorcycle, possession of stolen property, possession of allegedly stolen property, possession of burglary, burglary and robbery implements and also two cases of fraud and robbery.
