He said that while more than 2,000 students received training, they were isolated and not absorbed in these correctional facilities.
“A lot of resources have been spent on training and housing these students from the departmental coffers, while SASETA have been paying stipends for their livelihood. All these resources would result in waste of expenses amid the financial challenges faced by the government, since otherwise they could have been channeled to other productive factors, “he said.
On the recent explosive testimonies in the Zondo commission, Msinto said: “We are concerned that the state’s resources were exploited for nefarious projects to enrich the people, their acolytes and to pay bribes to the party factions.
