JOHANNESBURG – Attorneys for self-proclaimed prophet Shepherd Bushiri have until the end of Thursday’s business day to surrender the deeds to the couple’s primary property as part of their bail conditions.
Bushiri and his wife, Mary, received bail of 200,000 rand each, while co-defendants Zethu Mudolo and Landiwe Ntlokwana were released at 20.00 rand and 100.00 rand respectively.
They are charged with fraud and money laundering amounting to 102 million rand.
Mudolo will be the last to request the deposit.
Among the strict bail conditions imposed by Justice Thandi Thelede, the Bushiri must surrender title to their home in Midstream.
“It has to be delivered before November 5 at 4 in the afternoon. If I don’t have it by then, I’ll have to cancel your client’s bail. “

This condition comes as a result of the State alleging that the couple have been trying to sell their property and cars in an apparent attempt to evade prosecution.
But the magistrate was unconvinced, saying they had permanent residency and, unless terminated, the couple had no reason to leave the country.
Theledi said the couple should also be careful what they said at the pulpit.
“In his preaching on any platform to both parishioners and supporters, he is prohibited from making threats against State witnesses, members of the prosecution team and members of the investigation team.”
All six defendants will have to attend the bail application on Friday from Mudolo, who is the last to bring his application.
