An army of men dressed in black suits and others in camouflage attire with an inscription of “Major Troop 1” lined up in front of the court building.
One of the supporters, Lethiwe Ndlovu, said he woke up at 5 am to support “father” Bushiri.
“My father has never done anything wrong, so we will always support him. I support my father all the time, he has never done anything to anyone, I love him so much, if you touch him it is as if you touched me, “he said.
Another supporter, who did not want to be named, said he was there to support Bushiri because of the positive effect it had on his life.
“I am here to support my spiritual father and mother. In the last five years since I have been under their care, they have affected my life in a positive way, in every way; academically, spiritually, so I’m here to support you. At the moment I have no information on the case, but I am here to say that justice prevails, “he said.
In a statement released by the church after the court proceedings, Bushiri said he was disappointed that the bail request was postponed.
“We are unhappy with what we believe to be a weapon of the criminal justice system,” the statement read.
