Self-proclaimed prophet Shepherd Bushiri, his wife Mary and the co-defendants were released on bail in Pretoria magistrates court on Wednesday.
The prophet Shepherd Bushiri and his wife Mary received a bond of 200,000 rand each on strict conditions.
As part of the bond condition, Bushiri and his wife have to surrender their Centurion deed as collateral.
They are also not allowed to make any comments at their religious services about the witnesses, the prosecution team, and those involved in the case.
Bushiri and his wife face charges of fraud, theft and money laundering.
The other defendant in the Landiwe Ntlokwana case obtained a bond of R100,000. Mudolo Zethu received a bail of 20,000 rand.
All defendants must report to a nearby police station on Mondays and Fridays between 6:00 and 18:00.
“Defendants number four and five (the Bushiris) are prohibited from traveling anywhere else in the Republic of South Africa. They can only travel within Gauteng and North West Province until the case is finalized, ”said Justice Thandi Theledi.
