CAPE TOWN – Following an alarming video on social media, Buffalo City Metro has urged businesses and the public to adhere to COVID-19 health and safety regulations.
The video shows revelers inside an East London party venue without regard to directives.
Six days have passed since the level three restrictions were readjusted and the ban on the sale of alcohol was lifted.
In the video, revelers can be seen in an east London venue sipping liquor while maintaining close contact.
It appears that no social distancing measures were being implemented.
Only one woman wearing a mask was seen in the crowded venue that exceeded its capacity, while the unmasked DJ also touches the hands of one of the partygoers.

“We call on companies to respect the law and put life before profit. Those companies were practicing the regulations correctly before the alcohol resumption, and we ask them to do the right thing.
