The tireless screams of Lionel Messi fall on deaf ears in Barcelona
Barcelona has decided not to let Luis Suárez go to four destinations, as they believe that such a move could be counterproductive for them.
Barcelona are likely to release Luis Suárez from his contract shortly after they reach a mutual agreement regarding the termination clauses. The Uruguayan shooter was linked with a highly successful switch to play for Cristiano Ronaldo at Juventus, but complications regarding obtaining Italian citizenship nullified a possible switch.

The Desmarque now claims that the Blaugrana are planning to insert a clause after Suarez’s release that will prohibit joining four clubs immediately after leaving them, which may well be in the coming days. Those four clubs are Real Madrid, Manchester City, Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain.
Real Madrid seems the most unlikely destination given Suarez’s bad blood with the defending La Liga champions. The former Ajax shooter has a terrible image in the Spanish capital and there is no reason for Madrid to sign him either. Inserting an anti-Madrid clause makes sense for security, but Suarez was never going to join them.
Manchester City are a force to be reckoned with in Europe under Pep Guardiola, so it is understandable that the Barcelona leadership is facing him on the way to the Etihad Stadium. Manchester United is impossible due to a supposed clause inserted by Liverpool before El Pistolero signed for the Catalans six years ago.
Finally, PSG is also a very strong team and has what it takes to beat the current Barcelona team and therefore it is clear why Suárez will not be able to join PSG as well. As such, the French giants have Mauro Icardi as the strike option, so even their search for the Uruguayan international seemed unlikely and was only the subject of hearsay.
Atlético de Madrid seems to be the most realistic destination, but various reports suggested that Diego Simeone’s team should pay to get the forward rather than a free transfer. With the departure of Álvaro Morata to Juventus, everything indicates that Suárez will join La Liga, but there may be complications that delay any possible agreement.
Will the signing of Suárez for Atlético harm Barça like you?
