Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has used Arsenal’s matchday program to praise Thomas Partey’s impact since the Ghanaian joined the club.
The club captain was one of the players who were delighted to have the midfielder as a new teammate and has said that the former Atlético is off to a good start at the club.
He stated that Partey has integrated very well with the rest of the team and has a calm and smiling way of doing things.
He added that it was great that the club signed a player of the quality of Partey because his player profile is something they didn’t exactly have before.
He also said that his family could be from Gabon, but he has roots in Ghana, which makes Partey his brother.
“Thomas has been great since he joined the club,” Aubameyang told the official program of the day. “He has integrated very well into the squad.
“He is kind, calm and smiling. On the pitch, we have already seen what he will bring us in matches.
“He is very strong physically but also very good with the ball. Actually, we didn’t have a profile like this on our team before. In terms of ball progression, beating the press, moving forward, it will be very important for us.
“My family is from Gabon, but I also have some roots in Ghana, where Thomas is from, so we are family too! It is also good for some of our younger players to have a player like him, of his caliber in training. They will learn a lot from him. “
Aubameyang did not start Arsenal’s game against Rapid Wien on Thursday, but the forward will obviously start many games this season with his new teammate.
