“I am offering to reimburse Arsenal with the full salary of our big green man as long as I am an Arsenal player, so that Jerry can continue his work that he loves so much,” Mesut Ozil tweeted.

This while the fans of the club had already created a fundraising page wishing to pay tribute to the icon whose role was no longer needed in the club.

Arsenal had previously fired Mr. Quy because fans were still unable to attend games, so they could no longer pay him.

Sevilla, a Spanish club, even claimed to have already signed the mascot.
