JOHANNESBURG – Supreme Court Vice President Raymond Zondo said that so far, approximately R800 million had been earmarked for the state’s capture commission of inquiry and its work.

More than two years since the commission began, Zondo was giving an update on what has been done.

He said that most of the work has been completed, with 278 witnesses taking the hot seat.

Zondo said they will be heading to Superior Court for a three-month extension, which means more money is needed.

He insisted that this was necessary: ​​”It is important that the whole country and the world know that if there are complaints that I have heard and if they are well founded, there will be consequences in terms of our criminal law and other measures.”
