Sokhela expressed his confidence in Zungu’s ability to advance AmaZulu.

“I can’t think of anyone better than Sandile Zungu to put himself in my place and continue the great legacy of this club.”
AmaZulu’s statement said of Zungu: “Sandile Zungu is the founder and president of ZICO. Born and raised in Umlazi in a home that supports Usuthu, Sandile recognizes the values of keeping this club steeped in rich tradition and history in the KwaZulu-Natal province.
“He is passionate about AmaZulu and is committed to taking the club through the most successful decade in its history towards its centenary. He expressed his gratitude to Dr. Sokhela, the players, technical and administrative teams, and sponsors who have led and contributed to the growth and success of AmaZulu to date.
