Former Bosasa COO Angelo Agrizzi is in stable condition but is expected to remain in the ICU “for a long time,” according to his lawyer.

Agrizzi’s attorney, Mannie Witz, said his client was in a “reasonably stable” condition and was still in ICU, awaiting test results on his kidneys, blood and oxygen levels.

Agrizzi suffered a heart attack at the hospital on October 21, News24 previously reported. At that time, he was put on life support.

He was rushed to hospital after spending a night in prison, but when his condition worsened, he was transferred to a private facility.

The heart attack occurred a week after the Palm Ridge Magistrates Court Commercial Crimes Court denied Agrizzi bail in a matter where he faced corruption charges for allegedly making payments to former ANC deputy Vincent. Smith.

This decision was later reversed and he was released on bail at the Gauteng High Court in Johannesburg.
