JOHANNESBURG – The African National Congress (ANC) has assured its members of the Free State (FS) that it will respond in a timely manner to their concerns regarding the failed asbestos and Estina dairy farm projects in the province.
Members have been protesting outside the ANC headquarters at Luthuli House in Johannesburg on Monday.
Several Free State government and ANC officials are implicated in connection with the failed multi-million rand projects.

The National Tax Authority (NPA) has been investigating the failed Estina dairy farm scandal linked to Gupta, as well as the asbestos project.
Angry members of the Free State ANC demanded that action be taken against officials implicated in the failed multi-billion dollar asbestos and Estina dairy farm projects.
They want the currently meeting national task force to consider taking action against those involved.

They delivered a memorandum of demands to ANC spokesman Pule Mabe, who accepted the petition on behalf of the party.
“We have received your concerns, I will be informing the leaders of the African National Congress.”
But some protesters weren’t impressed with Mabe’s response.
“You must attend to that memorandum as soon as possible,” said one protester.

“As soon as we have comments, we can report,” Mabe said.
Protesters have warned that they would return to Luthuli House if the party did not respond as promised.
