An alleged sexual escapade, a ‘tsosti’ and board suspensions at Eskom

Koko told TimeLIVE on Friday that she had “no reason to doubt Dr. Ngubane’s evidence.”

Regarding the sexual escapade complaint made by Tsotsi against him, Koko said that this was “fabricated”.

“It was rubbish. That’s why he couldn’t produce the video. He was just being a Zola tsotsi,” Koko said.

Ngubane told the investigation that in a meeting on March 11, 2015, Tsotsi admitted that he had failed to present the report implicating the executives in the misdemeanors that he had alleged in the previous meeting, despite pressure from members of board.

“The board said, ‘Give us the report.’ She didn’t give us the report. The board made the decision to approach the shareholder (then Minister of Public Enterprises Lynne Brown). At that time, the board had begun to doubt the credibility of Mr. Tsotsi. “

Later that month, the board forced Tsotsi to resign from the board.

Tsotsi’s version of the investigation was that Brown had instructed the board to remove him because the two were not getting along.

Of the four executives suspended by the board for no reason, three reached an agreement with Eskom for R6m each and chose to leave while Koko was reinstated.
