JOHANNESBURG – The yellow thunderstorm warning remains in place for parts of Gauteng, the Free State, KwaZulu-Natal, the Eastern Cape, Mpumalanga and the northwest on Thursday night.

The weather service warned of heavy rains that could lead to localized flooding.

Earlier, meteorologist Vanisha Phakula said: “We are expecting localized flooding over Gauteng and the rain will be intermittent for most of the day. So, there is a band that is happening now that will give us a significant amount of rain and then we will see it again in the afternoon ”.

GAUTENG

Sunny skies forecast for most of Gauteng on Friday. Residents of Johannesburg and Vereeniging can expect a high temperature of 29 ° C, while those of Pretoria will see a low of 16 ° C and a high of 31 ° C.
