Cairo giants Al Ahly are reported to want to reunite Pitso Mosimane with his former Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Keagan Dolly, whose contract with Ligue 1 Montpellier expires next summer.
Al Ahly came close to acquiring one of Mosimane’s former players in the last transfer window, as they were eager to bring in Uruguayan playmaker Gaston Sirino, but their attempt was unsuccessful.

Sirino was said to be interested in moving to the Red Devils and publicly expressed his desire to leave the Brazilians, but the two clubs did not agree on a fee.
Al Ahly have now set their sights on another of Mosimane’s alumni at Sundowns, who is now active in the Ligue 1 Montpellier team, which is Keagan Dolly.
The South African midfielder has been a target of Al Ahly for some time and even before Mosimane joined them, but it was Montpellier who chose him.
Dolly is now considered a Sirino alternative to Al Ahly. He is in the final year of his contract with Montpellier and the Red Devils are believed to be interested in him for a reduced price, according to South African outlet Soccer Laduma.
The 27-year-old midfielder worked with Mosimane at Sundowns for three years, winning the national title and the 2016 CAF Champions League before his move to France.
Dolly didn’t have a good time with Montpellier, scoring just once and assisting twice in 54 games in France since her move in January 2017.
This season, he played 11 games with them, starting just once in their 1-0 win over AS Saint-Étienne in Ligue 1.
However, under Pitso, Dolly scored 10 goals and provided 11 assists in 61 games, taking the treble in 2016.
Internationally, he has 18 international matches to his name, scoring two goals and assisting six times.
