JOHANNESBURG – There are calls for South Africans to stand up to COVID-19 corruption and wear an orange mask every Friday.

As part of a series of campaigns against allegations of corruption, the Ahmed Kathrada Foundation is calling for swift arrests and prosecutions.

Spokesman Neeshan Bolton said: “It is a campaign that seeks to ensure that those involved in COVID-19 corruption, in particular, are urgently identified and prosecuted, and seen behind bars in orange jumpsuits. This is a campaign supported by more than 70 organizations, including the South African Council of Churches, the Communist Party of South Africa and various foundations and human rights organizations.
