JOHANNESBURG – The South African Weather Service expects partially cloudy and cool weather conditions to persist across most of the country this weekend, with isolated showers and thunderstorms.

GAUTENG

With parts of the province experiencing thunderstorms, the South African Meteorological Service has warned that strong winds and localized flooding remain on the charts over the weekend.

The weather service issued a level 2 alert for possible severe downpours earlier this week and various parts of Gauteng are expected to be affected by some adverse weather conditions.

Joburgers can expect a low temperature of 13 ° C, which is expected to rise to 21 ° C. Pretoria will be cloudy with the maximum forecast at 24 ° C and Vereeniging will see a high of 23 ° C.

WEST CAPE

The province will be fine along the west coast, but otherwise cloudy and cool with showers and thunderstorms in the south and northeast where it will be cold.

Heavy rains are likely to cause localized flooding along the southern coast.

Residents of Capeton can expect a minimum temperature of 13 ° C, which is expected to rise to 21 ° C. Residents of Beaufort West and George can expect partly cloudy weather with scattered showers with a maximum of 16 ° C.

KWAZULU-NATAL

KZN will be cloudy and cool, but warm in the northwest. Scattered showers and showers are expected, but will be widespread in the east.
