In late 2021, Ford will introduce its new fully electric Mustang Mach-E GT in Europe. The car, which is said to offer a 0-100km / h race time of just 3.7 seconds, features a 347kW battery electric powertrain with four-wheel drive, which should put you in good stead been with those who want to save the planet without restricting performance.

Ford says its Mustang Mach-E GT will be supported by an industry-leading ecosystem that will allow the car to be charged at various charging points across Europe.

Stuart Rowley, President of Ford of Europe, said: “The new Mustang Mach-E GT shows what all-electric performance really looks like, but performance counts for nothing without the confidence to use it. Our charging initiatives mean Mustang Mach customers- E can enjoy the driving experience of an electrified Mustang knowing that they can be recharged quickly and easily across Europe. “

Ford said Mustang Mach-E customers who order this year and in 2021 will receive five years of free access to the FordPass charging network, which has grown nearly 25% in less than a year. It now includes more than 155,000 charging stations across Europe.

Inperformance and power

Ford says the Mustang Mach-E GT delivers the spirited performance and character of the iconic Mustang sports car. A 347 kW dual-engine powertrain applies 830 Nm of available torque independently of the front and rear axles, while the 0-100 km / h time is equal to that of the Tesla Model Y. Top speed is limited to 200 km / h.

The Mustang Mach-E GT features, as standard, an 88kWh (usable) extended range battery for a specific purely electric WLTP driving range of up to 500km. Powered by the Intelligent Range, the system more accurately predicts how much range drivers have left using past driving behavior, weather forecasts and collaborative source data from other Mustang Mach-E vehicles.

Ford also announced that the standard Mustang Mach-E, equipped with an extended-range battery and all-wheel drive, has a 0-100 km / h acceleration time of 5.1 seconds, equal to the Tesla Model Y Long Range, and a target. Purely electric WLTP autonomy of up to 540 km.
