Fans around the world have filled social media with messages of love and prayers for Chrissy Teigen and John Legend, who announced that she suffered a miscarriage.
On Instagram on Wednesday, the model said she was hospitalized for “excessive bleeding” and that despite the best efforts of doctors, they were unable to stop the bleeding that resulted in a miscarriage.
Fans sympathized with the couple who shared the excruciating pain they were now experiencing.
“We are shocked and with the kind of deep pain that you only hear about, the kind of pain that we have never felt before, ”his post began.
“We were never able to stop the bleeding and give our baby the fluids he needed, despite the bags and bags of blood transfusions. It just wasn’t enough … We never decide our babies’ names until the last possible moment after they are born, just before leaving the hospital. But we, for some reason, had started calling this little boy in my belly Jack. Then he will always be Jack to us, ”he said.
Chrissy and John already have two sons Luna, 4 and Miles, 2, and they were excited to add another to their brood. They announced their pregnancy in August and have been sharing regular updates on the pregnancy ever since.
Chrissy continued to thank family, friends, and fans for their support during this time, adding that while they were deeply grateful for all that they have, they had to allow themselves to feel the pain in order to heal.
“We are so thankful for the life we have, for our wonderful babies Luna and Miles, for all the wonderful things we have been able to experience. But every day cannot be full of sun. In these darkest days, we will cry, we will cry ourselves to pieces. But we will hug and love stronger and get over it. “
