Jurgen Klopp’s Premier League leaders reportedly opened talks with Lille about a deal to bring Ligue 1 forward Victor Osimhen to Anfield last week.
Victor Osimhen could make a decision about his future within the next two weeks, according to La Voix du Nord, after the Lille forward opened talks about a possible move to Liverpool.
Last summer, one of the best clubs in Ligue 1 made Nicolás Pepe the biggest export in its history when he sold the Ivorian winger to Arsenal for £ 72 million.
12 months later, Lille could be about to repeat the trick with a Nigerian center forward; although the global health crisis could cut Osimhen’s price by a penny or two.
Osimhen, a powerful and aggressive number nine in Didier Drogba’s mold, would certainly add something different to Liverpool’s star-studded frontline: a power tool amidst the brushes.
Le10 Sport reported last week that the 2019 Champions League winners have entered into negotiations on a deal to take the Wolfsburg winger to Anfield in a deal that could cost around £ 70 million.
It seems that Liverpool is flying ahead in pursuit of the goal of Manchester United, Chelsea and Newcastle. And the best indication of what the future holds for Osimhen could emerge from now until mid-May.
La Voix du Nord says the 18-goal forward will sit down with Lille in the next two weeks to make a decision on a possible summer move to Merseyside.

Osimhen has already rejected several Italian clubs, but the prospect of leading the line under Jurgen Klopp in Liverpool may be too tempting to reject.
