WASHINGTON – On Friday, United States President Joe Biden lost his balance and tripped several times while climbing the steps of Air Force One.

The American leader (78) had quickly climbed halfway up the stairs of the presidential plane when he stumbled.

Gripping the railing with his right hand, he attempted a quick recovery but stumbled again, this time falling to his knees.

Biden stood up, paused, and brushed his left trouser leg before heading to the top of the aerial ladder, turned and waved, and then stepped onto the plane.

Air Force One took off shortly after outside the capital, Washington, to catch a flight to Atlanta, where Biden will meet with members of the Asian-American community that has been shocked by a series of massage parlor shootings.

“He is doing well. He is doing very well,” Undersecretary of the Press Karine Jean-Pierre told reporters of Biden’s stumble.

Biden, the oldest president to take office, emphasized his appearances while on the campaign trail.

Last year he was routinely seen climbing steps onto a stage or onto a podium.
