Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has responded to speculation about Donny van de Beek’s future.

The Daily Star reported yesterday that the Dutchman wants to leave Old Trafford in the summer.

But Solskjaer said in his pre-game press conference that the midfielder has been working very hard to get fit and that he is on the squad for tomorrow night’s clash with AC Milan.

“There is always speculation here,” Solskjaer said in response to a question about van de Beek’s future.

Like I said, we are evaluating them. They have been involved in the training session and let’s see tomorrow if there is any reaction or not. Everyone trained yesterday, they trained today and hopefully there is no reaction today.

Donny has been concentrating very hard, working very hard to get back to the later stages of the season now, so that’s our focus.

Ronald de Boer shares an agent with van de Beek and has also deleted reports that the midfielder wants to leave.

De Boer told TalkSport: “I spoke to Ajax and they told me there is no truth to that. He did not ask to speak to them. He’s only focusing on his ankle recovery, and it’s not true that he asked Man United to leave.

His agent also told me that of course he is not happy that he is not playing. He’s not worried, of course he wants to play every game. But you are not worried about not being able to succeed.

“He is not panicking at all, he told his agent that he is very happy at Man United because the club is one of the best in terms of how they treat him. He feels loved.

“It is not a football thing, it is physical. In Holland he is nice with the ball but not so physical. We have to give him time. “

As Solskjaer said, there will always be speculation surrounding United players, which means there is a lot of nonsense out there.

Van de Beek is fully committed to becoming a success at United.

It is not your fault that you were injured at the wrong time. He would have had a lot of games in central midfield and on the left wing in recent weeks if he had been in shape.

But now it looks like he’s back by the end of the season, having worked very hard on his recovery. Hopefully he can do some performances that will silence a lot of the nonsense being said about him.
