Meghan Markle may have sung the praises of Queen Elizabeth recently, but behind closed doors, things may not be as rosy between the two as she made it seem.
Body language expert Patti Wood claims the Duchess of Sussex’s relationship with the monarch may have been more complicated than she indicated in her and Prince Harry’s revealing interview with Oprah Winfrey.
Maria Clara quoted the expert as saying: “At the beginning of the interview, Oprah introduces the queen, and Meghan actually showed complex and negative clusters of gestures and vocals about her.
She grunted. And when she says that [the queen] She was one of the first people I met, she looks down and makes a face. She thrusts her tongue. It’s a beautiful example of how the non-verbal revealed how he really felt and the stories that contradicted him, ”he added.
Earlier this week, during her interview with Oprah, Meghan said that the queen was “wonderful” when she spoke about their first royal engagement together in 2018: “We had one of our first engagements together. We had breakfast together that morning, and she had me given a beautiful gift … We were in the car between engagements and she has a blanket that covers her knees to keep warm. ”
Meghan added: “And it was cold, and she was like, ‘Meghan, come on’ and she put it on my knees too.”
“It made me think of my grandmother, where she has always been warm and welcoming and really welcoming,” she said.
