The reports and recommendations of the party integrity commission will now need to be processed by the NEC.

“Now that we have adopted the guidelines, officials will process all integrity committee reports that have been submitted to the NEC, with a view to returning to the NEC with a full report within a month,” Ramaphosa said.
“In the meantime, the NEC calls on affected members to act in the interests of protecting and enhancing the integrity and credibility of the organization and voluntarily step aside in accordance with the integrity commission’s recommendations and the conference resolution.” he added.
The NEC also approved names of individuals to serve on the election committee in accordance with the resolutions of the 54th conference. Motlanthe will chair the committee, which is tasked with helping the ANC “to present the best and most credible candidates for all elections.”
Ramaphosa said the NEC had reiterated its support for the Zondo commission and urged ANC members, and all South Africans, to cooperate with it.
This is because the party’s top leaders are in a last-minute attempt to convince former President Jacob Zuma to respect the Constitutional Court’s ruling and appear before the commission starting Monday, as scheduled.
