South Africa Pitso Mosimane has made history guiding Egyptian champions Al ahly yet 1-0 win at Club World Cup against the tournament hosts Al-Duhail at the Education Stadium in Qatar on Thursday.

El Shahat’s goal made the difference as the Egyptian entered the break with a narrow lead.
Despite the hosts trying to organize a late comeback, Al Ahly managed to keep his lead and see victory.
Al Ahly attempted just seven shots on goal with one shot on goal compared to the host’s massive 15 attempts with seven shots on goal.
The 56-year-old driver previously guided Mamelodi Sundowns to the 2016 edition of the tournament, where they were defeated 4-1 by Jeonbuk Hyundai.

With Thursday’s victory, Mosimane made history by becoming the first South African coach to lead a team to victory in the Club World Cup while also booking a place in the final four of the competition.
