The death of suspected drug lord Yaganathan Pillay, better known as Teddy Mafia, remains in the news after he was shot on Monday.
Pillay was shot twice in the head and died shortly after arriving at Chatsmed Hospital in Chatsworth, KwaZulu-Natal, TimesLIVE reported..
SAPS spokesman Brig Jay Naicker confirmed the incident, saying a shooting took place “at the home of a known drug dealer” on Taurus Street, Shallcross..
Naicker said police will investigate three murder cases, including the murder of the two alleged shooters who were beheaded and set on fire by members of the community.

Pillay was a suspected drug dealer and had been arrested before for allegedly possessing drugs.
