DURBAN – One person was shot and killed and two people were beheaded and their bodies burned at Shallcross in Durban on Monday.

The victim of the fatal shooting is the alleged drug lord, Yaganathan Pillay, also known as “Teddy Mafia”.

The two people who were beheaded were suspected of being involved in the shooting.

Brigadier Jay Naicker explained that “the daughter of this well-known drug dealer was informed by her father that he would be expecting visits before this late. She left him and went to the back of the house. Soon after, he heard gunshots and when they investigated they discovered that he had been shot. They rushed him to the hospital, where they told us that he later died. “

“In the meantime, the community had detained two of the alleged attackers. They were attacked in an open area. There are videos and photos circulating of them being beheaded and then set on fire.”

“When the police arrived at the scene, responding to reports of shooting in the area, they were attacked by this same community.

Brigadier Naicker said law enforcement had to be called in to disperse the crowd before investigations could begin at the scene.
