Andy Robertson believes Liverpool must start scoring more points away from home if they want to defend their Premier League crown.
The Reds are at the top of the division, ahead of Manchester United only on goal difference with 16 games played.
The champions have competed in a series of frustrating matches away from Anfield, winning only one of their last seven teams and the bottom half in West Brom, Fulham, Brighton and Newcastle have all won draws against Liverpool.
“In the last two or even three years, and without disrespecting those clubs, but last season we would have won those games,” Robertson told Sky Sports before the Reds’ trip to Southampton.
“And if you add two points to each of those games, the league table looks very different and we are very happy, but you know, this season is going to be unique.
