Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to praise Liverpool for a business they are allegedly working on.
The deal in question is one that would see Lille colossus Sven Botman leave Ligue 1 to join the Premier League champions.
According to Duncan Castles, Liverpool has spoken with the Dutchman’s agent.

Speaking on The Transfer Window Podcast, he said: ‘Liverpool are working on a deal. That’s Sven Botman, in his first season in Lille coming from Ajax for an initial € 8 million (£ 7.1 million).
They’ve been talking to Botman’s agent. Botman’s agent likes the sounds of conversations and thinks there is a good chance of a January sale.
Everything Castles says makes it look like this deal could happen.
Foot Mercato, which claims Lille signed the center-back from Ajax for € 8m (£ 7.1m), also reported on Liverpool’s interest in the 20-year-old.
Furthermore, the player himself recently posted a cryptic message on Instagram.
Botman posted a picture of himself in his agent’s office, along with a love heart emoji and a handshake emoji.
That could mean absolutely nothing. However, if you are a professional footballer during a transfer window and upload something like that, people are sure to talk about it.
Impressively, Botman has come to life in Lille like a duck in water.
The defender has already made 17 league appearances, helping his side to second place with the second-best defensive record behind Paris Saint-Germain.

Looks like Sven Botman is going to Liverpool. He will be a great help in the short term with his current injury issues and will finally address his lack of left-handed CB. Only 20 years too, a great future ahead of him. It will be another excellent signing from one of the best-managed clubs in Europe.

I highly doubt that Botman would join Liverpool after 5 months in Lille, but you can never be sure with Lille, especially since they are in a strange financial situation. But they are currently at the top of Ligue 1 together and Botman is brilliant so it would be a terrible move for them.
