Liverpool backed to sign Sancho or Mbappé if the star is sold

Liverpool may well have a monumental summer transfer window ahead. The Reds were proposed to do big business last year, but the pandemic reduced marquee signings. Given last year’s relatively moderate spending, we could soon see fireworks. Danny Murphy has supported Liverpool to sign Jadon Sancho or Kylian Mbappé if they sell one of their star forwards.

Mo Salah’s uncertainty

There has never been so much uncertainty about Mo Salah’s future at Anfield.

The Egyptian king has broken fun records since arriving in Merseyside.

We thought it was a match made in heaven.

However, rumors of his discontent at the club have started to surface.

The winger also gave an interview in Spain that opened the door to a box office transfer to La Liga.

As he approaches 30, there is a school of thought that the Reds will be looking to cash in on the forward in the summer.

If Liverpool sells Mo Salah in the summer, they will need to replace him.

There is also a perpetual interest in Sadio Mane.

If any of the forwards leave, we can expect a very successful replacement to come through the door.

Danny Murphy has supported Liverpool to sign Jadon Sancho or Kylian Mbappé if they take advantage of one of their extremes. The former Anfield midfielder told Stadium Astro:

“If you are going to lose someone like Salah or [Sadio] Well, it’s about having a plan on what you’re going to do to replace the numbers.

“The Liverpool team relies heavily on the three forwards, so you can’t take chances. You have to bring a superstar.

“I don’t think there are many above Salah in terms of numbers and ability to win games and score goals. Maybe a Sancho or Mbappé?

Liverpool will be planning. They have done well in recruiting for some time. “

Liverpool would surely sign Sancho or Mbappé only if we lost one of the forwards.

If we were to sell Salah or Mane, we would expect the Reds to make a hugely successful move.

Sport cites Mbappé’s price tag at £ 160 million, while the Guardian has Sancho valued at £ 108 million.

Without a doubt Sancho and Mbappé fit perfectly, both are young and have the world at their feet.

Signing one of the aforementioned would fix our front line for the next decade.
