Former Al Ahly striker Ahmed Belal criticized Pitso Mosimane’s poor decision making during the goalless draw against Wadi Degla.
Al Ahly drew 0-0 against Wadi Degla in the Egyptian Premier League. The Red Devils had their fair share of opportunities, but were unable to capitalize thanks to the heroics of Ahmed Abdelmonsef.
However, Belal believes that the main reason they lost points was Mosimane’s mismanagement of the game.
“Mosimane should have played with two forwards to make the most of the opportunities he had and score goals. But today he was very reserved and did not make good tactical decisions, ”Belal told Al Masry Al-Youm.
“The changes he made came too late. He had to do them to confuse the opponents but he didn’t do it ”, he concluded.
This tie brought the Red Devils to their tenth point, as they are now second in the league table. Their next match will be against SONIDEP in the second leg of the first round of the CAF Champions League on January 5.
