Neymar He laughed at the controversy Thursday over reports that he was hosting a mega New Years party for 500 guests, posting a video online of preparations for what he called a “low key dinner” with family and friends.

Rio de Janeiro state prosecutors have opened an investigation into the reports.
They said Neymar on Thursday denied hosting a party in Mangaratiba, according to the G1 news site.
The footballer reportedly traveled to the southern Brazilian state of Santa Catarina to celebrate the New Year there.
His press office did not immediately respond to questions from AFP about his plans.
Brazil has the second highest death toll in the pandemic, after the United States, with nearly 195,000 deaths from Covid-19.
