the KwaZulu-Natal Cricket Union has confirmed the sad death of the father of Proteas great, Hashim Amla.
TRANSMITTED HIS CONDOLENCES TO THE AMLA FAMILY
Dolphins Cricket confirmed Thursday via social media the death of Dr. Mohamed Amla.
The union conveyed its sincere and heartfelt condolences to Amla and her brother Ahmed, as well as their family and friends.

Hashim Amla played 124 tests, 181 ODI and 44 T20I for South Africa before hanging up his pads in mid-2019.
Amla, now 37, was seen in the comment box during the Boxing Day Trial between Proteas and Sri Lanka at SuperSport Park in Centurion.
SECOND TEST SCORER
He is the second best Proteas test scorer of all time and boasted an average of 46.64. Amla earned 28 centuries of testing and holds the record for the highest South African individual test score of 311 not out.
While Hashim Amla’s older brother Ahmed did not represent his country internationally, he was a stalwart of Natal and the Dolphins for the past decade.
