The Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) lashed out at Police Minister Bheki Cele for contradicting the president with his claims that South Africans should be in bed by 9pm on New Year’s Eve.

JOHANNESBURG – The Red Berets criticized the Police Minister for his comments that South Africans would go to bed at 9pm on New Year’s Eve.
Bheki Cele spoke at KwaMashu in KwaZulu-Natal on Wednesday.
“This time there is no December 31st. There will be no tin hits. At 9 pm, everyone is in bed.”
In a statement, the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) have called Cele’s comments inappropriate and unfounded.
He lashed out at him for contradicting the president with his claims that South Africans should be in bed before 9 p.m. on New Year’s Eve.
The closing curfew was extended earlier this week, which means everyone except those with permits must be home by 9 p.m., but the regulations don’t mention beds.
The Red Berets have attacked the Minister of Police, calling him “a clown” who uses violent language when talking to blacks and is romantic when dealing with whites.
Vuyani Pambo, EFF spokesperson: “This clown, named Bheki Cele, is an anti-black minister who only uses violent language when speaking to blacks and very romantic when speaking to whites. Also, when it comes to fighting corruption, the CIT [cash-in-transit] robberies and gender violence [gender-based violence], is nowhere to be found. As such, starting today, no black person should listen to you until you decisively deal with the above. “
