Denosa Provincial Secretary Mandla Shabangu spoke with eNCA outside Wentworth Hospital.

“The situation is spiraling out of control. Since the beginning of December, this hospital has experienced many positive cases in terms of staff and patients. Many health workers are in isolation or quarantine.”

Shabangu says that in some cases, 55-patient wards will be staffed by just two nurses.
