Zuma in ‘good health’ and at home, says his son after the hospitalization report for Covid-19

  • Former President Jacob Zuma is enjoying the holiday season with his family, his son says.
  • This despite reports that he and one of his wives were in a KwaZulu-Natal hospital for Covid-19.
  • His son Edward Zuma, however, said he was at home complying with all lockdown regulations.

Former President Jacob Zuma’s eldest son says he is in good health following reports that he and one of his wives had been hospitalized for Covid-19.

In a statement Tuesday night, Edward Zuma said his father was “fine and in a good mood.”

This after the Sunday World reported that Zuma and his wife Gertrude Sizakele Khumalo had been admitted to a Richards Bay hospital.

“The former president is well and is currently enjoying his party [season] with the family and is at home complying with all the regulations that were announced in March of this year.

“We wish to request all South Africans to adhere to and abide by all regulations that our government has established, as the former president has done since the beginning of the pandemic,” said Edward Zuma.
