Mark Lawrenson is backing Manchester United to get back on the winning track in the Premier League with a 2-1 win over Wolves at Old Trafford on Tuesday night.
The Red Devils enter the game after Leicester City imposed them in a 2-2 draw away from home on Boxing Day.
Manchester United have been in good domestic form this season as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer looks to lead the Red Devils towards a real challenge for the Premier League title.
A Red Devils win against Wolves would put them just two points behind Liverpool FC at the top of the Premier League table.
The Wolves are currently six points behind Manchester United in the table as they look to challenge a European spot this season.
Former Liverpool FC star Lawrenson is backing Manchester United to claim all three points on Tuesday to put them well and truly in the race for the Premier League title.
Writing in his column for BBC Sport, Lawrenson said: “There is nothing wrong with Manchester United going forward, but they were poor at the rear against Leicester, that’s why they didn’t win that match.
“Wolves have the opposite problem, because they don’t have much of a vanguard.
“I hope this is a close game, but United should make their attacking quality count, eventually.”
Manchester United will return to Premier League action on New Year’s Day when they host Aston Villa at Old Trafford.
