Liverpool stumbled into a 1-1 draw with West Brom tonight when they opened the door slightly at the top of the Premier League table.
The Reds went ahead through Sadio Mane and dominated the ball, but they allowed the Baggies to fight their way back into the game in the second period and paid the price when Semi Ajayi headed in to level the scores.
It was just what West Brom deserved, to be fair. Liverpool wasted countless opportunities to try and punish Albion and at times spent too much time going side to side in midfield with little progress.
And some Liverpool fans believe that Jurgen Klopp was wrong by not featuring Takumi Minamino in action. The forward enjoyed a good game last weekend at Palace but stayed on the bench, with Divock Origi and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain in his place.
Twitter, then, was full of comments from Reds fans questioning why Minamino missed.
Nothing on the bench for us, minamino had the best game in the liverpool jersey last week he scored and was eliminated this week why he should have been playing

I don’t understand why Shaq was on the bench if he wasn’t being used, surely if he’s an option, he’s fit enough by the minute, Minamino started last week, couldn’t see him today, but Origi was? It did not make sense

I have to feel sorry for Minamino after doing that performance in the palace and not even entering the field.

Shaqiri Minamino should have come instead of Origi, even to cross paths no one is better than shaq.

Surprised, Minamino was not featured at halftime.
The second half was poor. The attitude of the teams mainly, as if the players only think they will get a second and kill the game.
