“We do anticipate interprovincial movement as a result of the festive season. Limpopo is one of the tourist destinations that most of our people would like to visit during this time of year. Second, we meet most of our people in our province, they find themselves during the course of the year, in provinces like Gauteng, the Western Cape, KwaZulu Natal, looking for economic opportunities. So this is the time for them to return home to spend time with their loved ones, “said the Dr. Ramathuba.

He said holiday celebrations have hampered social distancing measures.

It registered 679 cases of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours.
