COVID-19 infections in South Africa rise by 14,305

JOHANNESBURG – South Africa registered more than 14,000 new COVID-19 infections for the second day in a row.

The Health Department says 14,305 cases of COVID-19 have been reported in the past 24 hours.

The total number of infections has risen to 968,563.

326 new coronavirus-related deaths have been reported in the country.

Deaths have been reported in the Eastern Cape (109), Free State (4), Gauteng (22), Kwa-Zulu Natal (81), and the Western Cape (110).

This brings the total number of deaths to 25,983.
