JOHANNESBURG – The Organization Undoing Fiscal Abuse (Outa) said former South African Airways (SAA) director Dudu Myeni is at fault for being declared unfit to fill a director position at any entity.

Outa has reacted to Tuesday’s ruling in Pretoria High Court that dismissed Myeni’s request to appeal an earlier ruling declaring her a delinquent director.

The court has dealt another blow, dismissing his request to present new evidence in the case with costs.

Outa took legal action against Myeni in 2018, saying that the national airline had collapsed.

Wayne Duvenage of the organization said he needed to realize that his conduct as chairman of the SAA board was misplaced.

“You can petition the Supreme Court, but right now the charges are still in force. The judge also ruled in our favor that the charges will be applicable from now on regardless of whether you appeal or not.”
