Liverpool and Manchester United are interested in signing Renato Sanches, according to Gazzetta dello Sport [via Sport Witness].
The 23-year-old won the European Golden Boy Award in 2016, with some seeing him as a future superstar with a career at the top.
However, Sanches hasn’t been able to kick properly since then, without cutting the mustard at Bayern Munich, before going on loan at Swansea City.
The Portugal international is now in Lille, where he has found his feet to some extent, with the best clubs linked to his signing.
Liverpool and United are believed to be the pioneers in that regard (the Reds have already been linked in the recent past) with the latter now joining the race.

Although Sanches’ reputation has waned in recent years, it is still easy to forget that he is only 23 years old.
The Portuguese has undoubted ability, as highlighted by his aforementioned Golden Boy victory, so it could be worth persevering.
Jurgen Klopp is a master at getting every gram out of players, so the Liverpool manager can feel like he can work his magic on the attacking midfielder.
Whether the Reds’ interest is concrete remains to be seen, but it is a transfer story worth following.
Would Sanches be a good signing for Liverpool?
