The former Barcelona ace wants to lead Arsenal

Xavi Hernández has named Arsenal as one of the teams he would like to coach in the Premier League.

His comments come at a time when the Gunners may be looking for a new manager soon.

They bet on making the inexperienced Mikel Arteta their coach last year and he helped them win the FA Cup and Community Shield.

But things haven’t looked good for them in recent weeks, and the club is now looking for a relegation fight if things don’t improve for them soon.

Xavi has been managing Qatar’s Al Sadd since last year after he retired from the game.

He is slated to coach Barcelona in the future, but seems to have one eye on Arteta’s work.

The former midfielder was talking about the Premier League teams he would love to coach and mentioned Arsenal.

The former midfielder told Sky Sports via Sun Sports: “Obviously, if I had to choose, I would choose a great team, City or United, Chelsea, Arsenal or Tottenham.

“As well, [Jurgen] Klopp and [Mauricio] Pochettino and Unai Emery, many of the people who have been there are doing an extraordinary job ”.

Arteta hopes his players will get back in shape when they face Chelsea in their next league game.
